We took one last walk through Marina Bay after checking out of our hotel but before leaving for Changi. It had just rained, leaving everything around Marina Bay a bit wet and with dark skies. It was still rather warm and humid though.Continue reading “Marina Bay Before Leaving”
We headed to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve‘s Singapore Zoo via taxi and arrived slightly after opening time. It much cooler earlier in the day and with less crowds. It turns out some of the enclosures were still being cleaned and not all the animals were out yet so we had to backtrack a bit at the end of our visit. We ended up seeing many animals, including a large selection of monkeys and apes. They also had various big cats and many of the usual zoo animals.
After lunch, we visited their adjacent River Wonders park. This was a bit like an outdoor aquarium, with the addition of pandas and monkeys.Continue reading “Singapore Zoo & River Wonders”

We went to Suntec City for an early lunch and walked back to the Marina Bay Sands to catch the MRT. On the way, we enjoyed the blue skies and also scouted the area a bit to see the setup for the fireworks tonight. There are a few good options for us to watch from, we’ll see later tonight what we do!Continue reading “Blue Skies at Marina Bay”

It was a pleasant walk. It feels much cooler at night in Singapore, particularly when there is a strong breeze.Continue reading “Marina Bay & Gardens at Night”
