We enjoyed breakfast and our in-room onsen at the アマネリゾート ガハマ Amane Resort Gahama before going down to Oita in the afternoon. We didn’t do much, mainly visited the AMU Plaza and its rooftop garden as well as the pop-up Super Mario x JR Kyushu shop, before returning to Beppu for an early dinner.

We flew from Dulles to Haneda on United, arriving in the late afternoon. We went right to Shinagawa Station to take the Shinkansen over to Kyoto. We then checked into the Courtyard, which just opened in August, and ended the long travel day with Tsukemen for dinner.

We returned to Munich from Innsbruck yesterday night, having spent five nights there. After breakfast this morning at the Le Meridien in Munch, we took the S-Bahn to the airport for our flight on United back to the US. We arrived just in time for rush hour traffic.

After breakfast at the AC Hotel, we checked out, left our bags at the train station, and took a bus down to Stubaier Gletscher. We visited the Top of Tyrol before descending and returning to Innsbruck. After lunch, we returned to Munich by train and bus and checked into the Le Méridien.

After breakfast at the AC Hotel, we took a train west to Imst where we caught the next bus to Pitztaler Gletscher. We ascended via funicular and gondola to visit the highest cafe in Tyrol and its mountaintop 360° observation platform. After descending to mid-mountain, we walked to a nearby tiny chapel before returning to the valley and Innsbruck afterwards.
