After waking up at the AC Hotel Innsbruck and having breakfast, we took a bus over to Glungezer where we ascended via gondola. We then hiked along the Zirbenweg at 2,000m elevation to Patscherkofel, where we had lunch. After, we descended by gondola and returned to Innsbruck by bus where we visited two churches and had gelato before returning to the hotel.

After flying from IAD to MUC on United, we took the OBB train to Innsbruck, dropped off our bags at the AC Hotel, and traveled to the Nordkette via funicular and aerial tram. After spending some time at the top, we had dinner and walked around the city a bit before returning the hotel.

After breakfast at the Hampton Locarno, we headed over to Lugano where we visited two mountains, Monte Brè and Monte San Salvatore. We spent most of the day there, returning to Locarno in the evening for dinner and a walk around town.

After ten nights at the Hilton Niseko Village, we had our last breakfast at the property and headed out to ski one last time. After draining our last 12 point passes on the Banzai Chair, we returned our skis to Village Sports and returned to our room to clean up, pack, and check out. We then took a bus to Sapporo where we checked into the ANA Crowne Plaza, walked around the city a bit, and had dinner at Sapporo Kanihonke.

After New Year’s Day, we’ve spent 7 of the last 8 days skiing here at Niseko Village and the adjacent Grand Hirafu. We’ve experienced quite a variety of conditions as well as a bit of the region’s famous Japow.
