After waking up at the Mercure, we went up to Tokyo Station where we had tsukemen for breakfast at Rokurinsha. We then took the train to Takaosanguchi, a chairlift partway up Mt. Takao, and then walked up to the summit. We enjoyed the view as well as the Takao-san Yakuo-in before returning to Tokyo. We then went to see the winter illuminations at Tokyo Midtown and Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.

After waking up and having breakfast at the Kameha Grand, we took the tram to walk through Zurich‘s historic city center. We visited a few churches and Christmas markets around the Limmat, the river that runs through the city, as well as the Lindenhof and Polyterrasse viewpoints.

After breakfast at the Essential in Interlaken, we took the train to Kandersteg to visit the Oeschinensee, an alpine lake accessible by gondola. After hiking to the lake and back, we visited the town of Thun to see Schloss Thun, its historic castle. We briefly stopped at Spiez to enjoy the view before returning to Interlaken for dinner.

After flying into GVA, we took the train to Bern where we spent the afternoon walking through the historic city and had lunch. We visited two Christmas markets, two churches, and saw a bear! In the early evening, we continued by train to Interlaken where we checked in to the Essential by Dorint for a four night stay.

After waking up and having breakfast, we checked out of the Humaniti, leaving our bags to retrieve later. We went to St-Viateur for some more bagels and Wilensky’s for its special. We returned to downtown Montreal for lunch and matcha soft serve before walking back to the Humaniti, stopping in Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral on the way. After getting our bags, we returned to the airport to fly out.
